Hello. I'm a senior video journalist for The New York Times — that’s after about six years in a similar role for BBC News in Washington, DC and London.
Previously I worked as a freelance video journalist in Cairo, Egypt — which included extensive coverage of the Arab Spring in Tunisia, Egypt, and Libya.
Earlier I was a video journalist for The National newspaper’s television program in Abu Dhabi. I also wrote a veterans affairs blog called Soldier’s Home for Newsweek.
I am a Marine veteran of Iraq and attended the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
I've either produced video or written for: The New York Times, BBC News, Newsweek, Wall Street Journal, TIME magazine, Boston Globe, Village Voice, CNBC, Reuters, and the PBS NewsHour.
An essay I wrote for the New York Times about Iraq was anthologized in New York Stories: The Best of the City Section of the New York Times.
